If you've been
fortunate enough to try our
Raspberry Chambord or Black Forest
Cheesecake, you will certainly
understand our interest in featuring
Old World Bakery this month. Located
in Ann Arbor and started by Tim
Edinger (a graduate from EMU), Old
World Bakery makes Ann Arbor style
cheesecakes, which differ from New
York style in ingredient make-up and
texture.
Tim uses local
ingredients whenever possible, such
as heavy whipping cream, cream
cheese and eggs. He also uses
Madagascar bourbon vanilla extract
instead of regular vanilla extract.
Tim's slogan is
"It makes you want to eat more with
every bite"; and with that in mind,
we are introducing a new offering
for September.
Double-chocolate-marble cheesecake
has chocolate swirled into a batter
and baked inside a rich cheesecake
on a graham cracker crust. Be sure
to come in and enjoy Old World
Bakery's marble-cheesecake before we
move onto Tim's next delicious
offering.
